WE NEED HELP • A FEW GOOD PEOPLE

Join the Founding Team

A handful of volunteer roles now. When the Exchange starts earning revenue, the founding team is first in line for the paid positions. The application is at the bottom of this page.

I’m going to be straight with you, because the whole site is built on being straight with people.

The Family Law Exchange is free, and I’m building it nights and weekends while working as a paralegal. I can’t pay anyone yet. There are fifteen states with discussion rooms, a court official directory that grows only as fast as parents send in their stories, and one person reviewing all of it. That’s me.

I don’t need an army. I need a handful of people, maybe three to five, who can each take a real piece of this: a group of states, the records review, outreach. What I can offer is a real role in something that matters, with real credit, and a real promise about what happens when the money comes.

What the founding team does

  • Hosts the discussion rooms for your state or region: welcomes new members, starts conversations, answers what you can, and keeps things decent.
  • Brings in the parents who need this. If people already come to you, in a Facebook group, a support circle, or just by reputation, you’re the person we’re looking for.
  • Helps review judge and GAL stories and check them against transcripts and orders.
  • Tells me what parents actually need, so the courses and templates get built in the right order.

What you get

  • A named role now. Founding Team member, with your name on the site and on the records you help build, and a real say in how the Exchange is run.
  • First in line for the paid positions. When the Exchange has revenue, the founding team is who I turn to first for paid community and records roles. That commitment goes in writing at the time, with the terms spelled out.
  • Founding status that never expires. Whatever the Exchange charges later, founding team members stay on the free tier permanently.

What this is not. It is not a job, an ownership stake, or a promise of income. It is a volunteer role with a genuine path to a paid one. If that path matters to you, I want you to be able to hold me to it, which is why it will be written down when it’s real and not before.

How it works

Fill out the application below. I’m asking about your own case, where you’re already active online, what you’ve organized before, and what you’d do in your first month. That last one matters most. Then we talk. If it feels right on both sides, you get a 30-day trial with a real piece of the work before the title goes on the site. Get five real conversations going in a month and you’re in.
